IRON STUDIOS – Saint Seiya: Dragon Shiryu Deluxe Version 1:10 Scale Statue

The Rising Dragon Lord appears in an exclusive statue by Iron Studios!

On the stairs that connect the Twelve Houses in the mythic Sanctuary of Athena, between the worn-out steps and crumbling marble pillars, the saint whose name means Purple Dragon because of his constellation, raises his right hand with an extremely serene countenance preparing his secret technique. Burning a powerful cosmos, with long dark hair raised and the figure of a translucent emerald dragon with LED lights surrounding him, he creates a volley shape which will throw any opponent to the air, a power capable of even reversing the flow of a waterfall. Iron Studios proudly present their statue ”Dragon Shiryu Deluxe – Saint Seiya – Art Scale 1:10”, the most mature and wise of the 5 Bronze Saints tasked with the mission of protecting the goddess Athena, in a Deluxe version with two interchangeable heads, one with the helmet and the other without it.

Iron Studios also bring the regular version of the statue ”Dragon Shiryu – Saint Seiya – Art Scale 1:10”, without the extra head or the translucent Dragon figure surrounding the Bronze Saint, over the base of the stone steps of the Sanctuary.

Shiryu wears the emerald Bronze cloth of the Dragon constellation, a jewel among the other clothes due to its legendary defense properties. Little is known about his childhood, he was adopted by Mitsumasa Kido, and, under the care of the Graad Foundation, he was trained with 99 other orphans. After a few years there was finally a raffle that would reveal where each of the 100 children would be sent to receive further training in order to earn a cloth and become a Saint. Shiryu was sent to train at the Five Ancient Peaks of Lushan, in China, where he would be trained by the Gold Saint Dohko, also known as the Old Master. After years of intense training, Shiryu finally managed to pass the final test of reversing the waterfall of the Five Peaks and earned the Dragon Cloth. Tall with dark hair, Shiryu has a dragon tattoo on his back that appears whenever his cosmos at its maximum, and the dragon’s right claw shows exactly where his heart is.

Originally created in the manga by Masami Kuramada in 1986 and adapted to anime by Toei Animation between 1986 and 1989, the Saint Seiya show tells the story of 5 mystic bronze saints that fight to protect the human incarnation of the Goddess Athena, wearing sacred cloths, based on many constellations. The God of Thunder from The Infinity Gauntlet fights Thanos in a new collection by Iron Studios!

At a unique place beyond space and time, the fearless God of Thunder summons the strength of lightning with his mystic hammer, jumping over the spiky rocks of a temple built to pay homage to lady Death herself, against the threat of the mad titan called Thanos, boasting the power of a demigod with his Infinity Gauntlet. With his red cape moving like big wings and showing in his countenance the fury of a warrior in the extra interchangeable head with his combat helmet, partially covering his face and exposing his long hair and beard, the Viking warrior god joins forces to other mighty heroes to save the universe. Working as an architect in New York, Eric Masterson became friend with the construction worker Sigurd Jarlson, the secret identity of Thor. After an accident in which he was injured by a falling girder, Eric was taken to the hospital by Sigurd, that revealed himself as the God of Thunder to Eric, strengthening their friendship even further. After many adventures together, Eric is fatally wounded, but before, he lifted the Mjölnir, proving himself worthy. Odin then merged them both, keeping their separate personalities intact. They would both exchange bodies using the Mjölnir, just like Thor had made years before with Donald Blake. After Loki killed Susan Austin, a close friend to Eric, Thor was furious and supposedly killed Loki during a fight. Since he broke Odin’s sacred law, Thor was exiled from Earth and Eric Masterson gained then power of the God of Thunder to carry on his role as Thor. Eric continued as Earth’s defender after receiving the Mjölnir. Masterson then joined the Avengers in Thor’s place and revealed his double identity to Captain America. He helped the Avengers in battles such as the Kree/Shi’ar war and the Infinity Gauntlet crisis in The Infinity Gauntlet. After Loki reappeared, Eric managed to find Thor and rescued him from exile. Proving to be a hero by his own merits, Odin rewarded him with the enchantednmace Thunderstike. Adopting Thunderstike as his pseudonym Eric continued to serve as a hero on Earth.

Released by Marvel Comics in 1991, written by Jim Starlin and illustrated by George Pérez and Ron Lim, The Infinity Gauntlet brings a series of stories that form a saga in which the supervillain Thanos is able to collect the six Infinity Gems and attach them into his Gauntlet. Seeking the affection of lady Death, he uses his powers to decimate half of all the life in the entire universe, and only the union of the best remaining superheroes on Earth can defeat him and undo all the evil. A tremendous success in sales on its first edition, with two sequels, the events from that story keep being referenced and adapted until this day in games, animations, and were the main inspiration for movies such as Avengers: Infinity War. In a marble mausoleum, in the caves of Moria, where the Tomb of Balin (A wise Dwarf lord that fought to re-establish the presence of Dwarfs in the depths but was killed by Orcs together with his companions) is located, a group of brave warriors fight again a legion of grotesque creatures to the sound of drums. Amidst the attack of an Orc horde, a huge humanoid creature with outrageous appearance, half simian, with scaly reptilian skin, raises their long arms in vain, trying to reach the relentless and fearless elf on his back. Hurt by blades and hit by arrows in vital spots, the giant monster unleashes a primal roar when the master archer prepares the coup de grâce in the back of his head. His age was never revealed by Tolkien, but it was estimated that he would be between 500 and 3000 years old, which isn’t uncommon for the Elves. Legolas became a great friend of the Dwarf Gimli, despite the long-held enmity between the two races.

Alongside his counterpart, the astromech droid R2-D2, C-3PO constantly found himself directly involved in pivotal moments in the timeline of the galactic history. C-3PO was build from spare parts by Anakin Skywalker, a human slave who lived in Mos Espa, a city on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. C-3PO’s memory was erased, though R2-D2’s memory was not. C-3PO and R2-D2 were assigned to the Alderaan cruiser Tantive IV, where they served senator Bail Organa for 19 years. At some point during this time, C-3PO’s right leg was fitted with mismatched painting. The pair then became embroiled in the Galactic Civil War when Leia Organa of the Rebel Alliance entrusted them to bring a copy of the Death Star plans to the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine. After meeting Luke Skywalker and the smuggler Han Solo, the droid helped rescue Princess Leia from the Empire’s Death Star. Soon they got involved with the three humans, helping the Rebellion to defeat the Empire and restore freedom to the galaxy.
